A "nutribullet"? Really

This blog highlights some unusual places where the latent violence of our culture nestles into our language.

Yesterday's example is so delicious I must share. Now I rarely think of preparing health foods as a violent act. Apparently we need the magic bullet "nutribullet" to blend our vegetables.

This blender can ease the fears of those concerned that their broccoli might be armed or that their carrots could have callous intent.

With "nutribullet" veggie blender you can take those veggies down.. Pulverize them, mutilate them, blend them into submission and then achieve total domination by swallowing them.

Really? Must we compare a health enchaning act to an act of violence

How about just calling it "veggie blend"
